About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Draftsman / Draftswoman with 1–3 years of experience in preparing structural drawings for RCC and/or Steel structures. The candidate will work closely with Structural Engineers and the design team to produce accurate, clear, and construction-ready drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed RCC structural drawings including:
- Foundation plans
- Column layouts
- Beam layouts
- Slab layouts
- Staircase details
- Structural sections and details
- Prepare Steel structural drawings including:
- GA drawings
- Structural framing plans
- Column and beam details
- Connection details
- Fabrication and erection drawings
- Convert structural design concepts and engineer's sketches into accurate CAD drawings.
- Prepare reinforcement detailing and structural detailing drawings as per engineering requirements.
- Coordinate with Structural Engineers and Architects for drawing revisions.
- Modify drawings based on site requirements and engineer comments.
- Maintain proper drawing standards, layers, dimensions, annotations, and title blocks.
- Ensure drawings are accurate and suitable for construction and execution.
- Follow company CAD standards and maintain proper drawing documentation.
- Coordinate with the site team whenever required to clarify drawing-related issues.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Practical knowledge of RCC structural drafting and/or Steel structural drafting.
- Ability to understand structural drawings and engineer's design requirements.
- Knowledge of structural detailing, dimensions, levels, sections, and reinforcement representation.
- Good understanding of construction drawings.
- Ability to identify drafting errors and inconsistencies.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a structural design team.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / Certificate in Civil Engineering or Drafting preferred.
- Candidates with relevant structural drafting experience may also be considered.
Experience
1–3 years of relevant experience in Structural Drafting.
Candidates with experience in RCC, Steel, or both RCC & Steel structural drawings are preferred.
