Restaurant Cashier – Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, friendly, and customer-focused Restaurant Cashier to join our team in Viramgam. The cashier will handle customer billing, cash/card/UPI payments, and maintain accurate transaction records while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide polite, friendly service.
- Prepare accurate bills and process customer orders/payments.
- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other payment methods.
- Maintain accurate cash and billing records.
- Verify cash drawer balance at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Issue receipts and assist customers with billing-related queries.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff regarding orders and billing.
- Handle cancellations, discounts, and refunds according to company policy.
- Keep the cash counter clean and organized.
- Report any billing discrepancies or cash shortages to the supervisor.
- Follow restaurant hygiene, safety,



and company procedures.

Requirements

- 10th/12th pass or equivalent.
- Previous restaurant cashier or billing experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of POS/billing software.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of cash handling and UPI payments.
- Honest, punctual, and responsible.
- Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi is preferred; basic English is an advantage.

Salary & Benefits

- Salary: ₹15,000– 20,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
- Duty meals may be provided.
