We are seeking a dynamic Chemical Engineer to join our large-scale production team at Baramati Agro Limited,Distillery Division Shethphalgadhe your expertise will be critical in managing high-gravity fermentation, multiple-effect evaporation, multi-pressure distillation columns, and Molecular Sieve Dehydration Units (MSDU), while maintaining strict adherence to safety, environmental, and zero-liquid-discharge (ZLD) regulations.

Your Tasks

Fermentation & Distillation Control: Oversee high-capacity continuous or batch fermentation systems, regulating yeast health, temperature, and pH. Manage multi-pressure distillation systems to ensure optimum purity.

Dehydration Operations: Operate and optimize Molecular Sieve Dehydration Units (MSDU) to produce fuel-grade anhydrous ethanol efficiently.

Evaporator & Slop Management:



Operate and troubleshoot high-volume Multiple Effect Evaporators (MEE) to concentrate spent wash/slop efficiently before incineration or composting.

Mass & Energy Balances: Perform routine calculations on sugar-to-alcohol conversion efficiency, volatile organic compound (VOC) losses, and water footprints to identify cost-reduction areas.

Troubleshooting & CIP: Diagnose column weeping, flooding, scaling in heat exchangers, or yeast contamination. Manage automated Clean-in-Place (CIP) cycles.

Risk Assessments: Lead HAZOP and safety analyses for hazardous areas, ensuring proper flame arrestors, gas detection systems, and static grounding are operational.

Plant Upgrades: Collaborate with equipment vendors to source specialized columns, copper sections, decanters, and DCS automation tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Biochemical/Process Engineering

Experience: 3+ years of experience

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
