ROLE OVERVIEW
A Senior Accountant is a mid-to-senior-level professional who bridges the gap between staff accountants and financial management. They are responsible for overseeing complex accounting operations, validating financial statements, and ensuring GST and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage vendor payments, distributor/debtor reconciliations, customer deductions, and trade schemes

Assist in Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, and Tax Audit. Liaise with auditors and tax consultants.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management

Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks

Monitor the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS),



track raw materials to finished stock movements, and perform frequent warehouse inventory reconciliations.

Reconcile ledger accounts for major distributors and quick-commerce platforms, tracking gross vs. net settlements.

Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and collaborate with the sales team to enforce credit limits and minimize payment defaults.

Oversee complex FMCG tax requirements, including GST filing, e-way bills generation, Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and Tax Collected at Source (TCS) handling.

Prepare monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports assessing channel-wise profitability, product-level profit margins, and distribution leakages.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA/ICWA Inter or MBA Finance preferred).

Requirements:

4 to 6 years of accounting experience, specifically within the FMCG, food manufacturing, or consumer retail industries.

Excellent leadership, High integrity, attention to detail, analytical & problem-solving skills

Proficiency in ERP systems.
