Position: Training & Placement Officer

Symbiosis Institute of Design – Nagpur

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement the institute’s Training, Internship and Placement strategy in alignment with academic and institutional objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporates, design studios, creative agencies, MNCs, startups, and industry professionals.
- Identify and bring recent organizations to campus for placements, internships, live projects, and industry collaborations.
- Manage the complete campus recruitment and placement process, including employer engagement, job descriptions, student registration, interviews, selection, offers, and joining.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive database of recruiters, industry contacts, alumni, and placement records.
- Plan and coordinate pre-placement training, employability enhancement programmes, aptitude sessions, soft-skills training, portfolio development, interview preparation, and career counselling.
- Organize campus recruitment drives, career fairs, industry talks, workshops, seminars, and networking events.
- Guide students on career opportunities across areas such as UX/UI Design, Product Design, Communication Design, Fashion, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Animation, and other emerging design fields.
- Coordinate with faculty members and academic departments to understand student capabilities and align them with industry requirements.
- Develop opportunities for internships, live industry projects, apprenticeships, and experiential learning.
- Maintain regular communication with recruiters and ensure smooth coordination throughout the recruitment cycle.




- Track and analyse placement-related data, including student participation, internships, offers, packages, recruiter engagement, and placement conversion rates.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports, placement dashboards, management reports, and presentations.
- Develop and strengthen the institute's industry-academia interface through strategic partnerships and collaborations.
- Leverage alumni networks to generate placement, internship, mentorship, and industry-connect opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with institutional placement policies and maintain proper documentation and records.
- Benchmark placement practices with leading design and higher-education institutions and introduce best practices.
- Represent the institute at relevant industry forums, professional events, placement networks, and career-related platforms.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Master’s Degree / MBA / Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Management, Education, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- 13+ years of relevant experience in Training & Placement, Corporate Relations, Campus Recruitment, Career Services, Industry Relations, or Talent Acquisition.
- Candidates with experience in the Higher Education / University / Design / Creative / Professional Education sector will be preferred.
- Strong experience in handling campus placements and corporate engagement is essential.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with senior-level corporate and industry stakeholders.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
