ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced, disciplined, and hands-on Night Shift Production Manager to independently lead all production operations during the night shift at our liquor manufacturing plant.

This is a leadership role responsible for ensuring uninterrupted production, achievement of daily production targets, product quality, manpower management, operational efficiency, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

The successful candidate will oversee the complete bottling and packaging operations during the night shift while maintaining strict control over production efficiency, safety, quality, wastage, and workforce discipline.

The role requires a proactive leader who can independently manage plant operations, resolve production challenges, safeguard company assets, and ensure a seamless handover to the day shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Plan, schedule, and execute production targets based on business requirements and seasonal demand.
- Manage and supervise all production activities from bottling through to dispatch.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, and production resources.
- Monitor shift operations and ensure production runs without unnecessary stoppages or delays.
- Ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

2. Quality, Safety & SOP Compliance

- Maintain strict adherence to company quality standards of production
- Identify quality deviations and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Ensure production areas remain clean, organized, and audit-ready at all times.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, excise requirements, and statutory regulations.




- Promote a culture of quality, safety, and operational discipline throughout the shift.

3. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, Accounts, and Management for uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables.
- Escalate material shortages, equipment failures, and operational issues proactively.
- Maintain smooth communication between departments to avoid production delays.

4. Manpower Management

- Lead, supervise, and motivate the night shift production workforce.
- Plan manpower deployment across production lines to maximize productivity.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and shift performance.
- Identify training requirements and improve team capability.
- Foster accountability and adherence to production standards.

5. Process Improvement & Waste Reduction

- Identify production bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Drive initiatives to reduce wastage of raw materials, packaging materials, and utilities.
- Improve productivity, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Promote continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

6. Reporting & MIS

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, wastage, and manpower utilization.
- Analyse production performance against targets and recommend corrective actions.




- Ensure timely submission of production MIS to management.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to independently manage a night shift.
- Strong understanding of liquor manufacturing, bottling, packaging, and production processes.
- Knowledge of excise regulations, quality systems, manufacturing SOPs, and safety standards.
- Strong operational planning, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, and Accounts departments.
- Strong reporting, production analysis, and MIS preparation skills.
- High ownership, accountability, and execution mindset.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining production continuity.

- Accurate production reports submitted without delay.
- Smooth shift handovers with no operational disruptions.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Graduate, Diploma, or Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Production, or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Production Management within a Liquor, Distillery, Beverage, FMCG, or Manufacturing environment.
- Experience in liquor or beverage manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Solid practical knowledge of production operations, manpower management, bottling, packaging, and plant administration.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
