Job Description

SRGM & Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Accounts Executive for its Mohali office. The candidate should have practical experience in accounting, GST, TDS and Income Tax Return filings.

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed CA Inter or discontinued the CA course after gaining relevant practical experience.

Qualifications

- CA Inter or CA dropout—strongly preferred
- B.Com or M.Com candidates with relevant experience may also apply
- Minimum 2 years and up to 4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Practical knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax Return filings
- Proficiency in Tally or BUSY and MS Excel
- Good understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping
- Record and review accounting transactions
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual GST returns
- Handle TDS calculations, payments and return filings




- Assist with the preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns
- Perform bank, vendor, customer and ledger reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Assist in preparing periodic financial statements and reports
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax and statutory requirements
- Coordinate with clients and team members to obtain required information
