Manager – Strategy & Operations

​About the Role

Build the operational engine to scale Popsons Fertilisers from a regional player into a nationally competitive brand. You will oversee multi-site manufacturing, standardize SOPs, streamline supply chains, and build a high-performance team to reduce executive reliance on routine operations.

​Key Responsibilities

- ​Multi-Site Operations: Direct daily operations at Pampadumpara; provide structured oversight, resource planning, and bottleneck resolution for Theni and Dindigul sites.
- ​Strategy & Growth: Translate MD targets into quarterly operating plans; support market expansion, new dealer onboarding, and new product commercialization.
- ​Process & SOP Excellence: Design and implement practical SOPs across manufacturing, procurement, inventory, quality, and maintenance to ensure system-driven execution.
- ​Supply Chain & Cost Control: Lead procurement for raw materials (rock phosphate, bonemeal, neem products, packaging), manage suppliers,



control inventory holding, and optimize working capital.
- ​People & HR: Drive workforce planning, recruitment, role scorecards, and performance management to eliminate key-person dependency.
- ​Compliance & Reporting: Ensure multi-site inspection readiness, license renewals, and quality adherence; run weekly/monthly Plan vs. Actual MIS reporting.

​Candidate Requirements

- ​Proven operational leadership in fertilizers, agri-inputs, chemicals, or process manufacturing.
- ​Track record of managing multi-site plant operations, supply chains, and teams.
- ​Strong capability in drafting practical SOPs and executing data-driven MIS/KPI tracking.
- ​High integrity, commercial mindset, and a willingness to be hands-on across factory floors.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
