Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to newborns, including premature and high-risk infants.
- Diagnose and manage neonatal conditions, infections, respiratory distress, and emergencies.
- Manage critically ill neonates in the NICU with appropriate monitoring and treatment.
- Perform neonatal procedures such as intubation, central lines, and resuscitation as per expertise.
- Supervise and guide junior doctors, nurses, and NICU staff.
- Coordinate with pediatricians and other specialists for comprehensive patient care.
- Counsel parents regarding diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and neonatal care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation as per hospital and NABH standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, CME, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualification:
- MBBS with MD/DNB in the applied Specialty
- Valid NMC/State Medical Council registration
- Relevant experience in NICU and neonatal care
