Job Description – Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with strong knowledge of accounting, GST, TDS, taxation, and Tally. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance, GST returns, TDS, and financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain day-to-day accounting records in Tally.
- Pass and verify Sales & Purchase Entries.
- Handle Credit Notes and Debit Notes.
- Prepare and file GST Returns – GSTR-1, GSTR-3B.
- Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase records and books of accounts.
- Handle GST calculations, reconciliation, and compliance.
- Manage TDS, including applicable sections, deductions, and compliance.
- Assist in ITR filing and income-tax-related documentation.
- Prepare and manage E-Way Bills.
- Ensure proper accounting of receipts, payments, expenses, sales, and purchases.
- Perform ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation.




- Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal departments whenever required.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Accounting Concepts & Principles.
- Good understanding of GST and GST Returns.
- Practical knowledge of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B & GSTR-2B.
- Knowledge of TDS and applicable sections.
- Basic to valuable knowledge of Income Tax & ITR Filing.
- Proficiency in Tally/Tally Prime.
- Knowledge of E-Way Bill generation.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills.

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification preferred.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with practical experience in GST, TDS, Tally, taxation, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting will be preferred.
