Job Description: Staff Nurse — Fertility Clinic

Position: Staff Nurse (Clinical & OT Support)

Qualification Preference: B.Sc. Nursing (preferred) / GNM (acceptable)

Reporting To: Clinic Manager / Lead Embryologist / Consultant Gynaecologist

About the Role

Zoi Fertility is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Nurse to support clinical procedures, patient care, and daily operational tasks within the fertility clinic. The ideal candidate will assist doctors during procedures, maintain accurate clinical documentation, manage stock and consumables, and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the OT and clinic.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Procedure Support

Assist consultants/embryologists during fertility procedures such as OPU (Ovum Pick-Up), Embryo Transfer, IUI, Hysteroscopy, and minor gynaecological procedures.

Prepare patients for procedures — counseling, vitals check, consent verification, and pre-procedure protocols.

Ensure OT readiness — sterilization, equipment check, and instrument arrangement before each procedure.

Provide post-procedure care, monitoring, and recovery support.

Assist in emergency response and handle procedural complications as per clinical protocol.

2. Documentation & Records

Maintain accurate patient records, procedure notes, and consent forms.

Update Electronic Medical Records (EMR) / case files after every procedure.

Ensure documentation complies with NABH/clinic regulatory standards.

Maintain OT registers, procedure logs, and patient tracking sheets.

3. Injections & Medication Administration

Administer prescribed injections (IM/SC) including hormonal stimulation medications as per treatment protocol.

Educate patients on self-injection techniques where applicable.

Ensure correct dosage, storage, and administration timing per doctor's orders.

Monitor and document patient response to medication.

4. Scanning Support

Assist doctors during ultrasound/follicular scans.

Prepare patients and equipment for scanning sessions.





Maintain scan schedules and coordinate patient flow.

5. Stock & Inventory Management

Daily monitoring of consumables, medicines, and OT stock levels.

Maintain stock registers and flag reorder requirements in advance.

Check expiry dates and ensure proper storage (including cold chain for medications requiring refrigeration).

Coordinate with procurement/admin team for timely replenishment.

Ensure OT and clinic supplies are sterile, adequately stocked, and audit-ready.

6. General Nursing & Patient Care

Attend to patient queries and provide emotional support during treatment cycles.

Monitor vitals and maintain general ward/OPD nursing duties.

Maintain hygiene, sterilization, and infection control standards across the clinic.

Support smooth patient flow between consultation, scanning, and procedure areas.

Required Skills & Competencies

Sound knowledge of clinical procedures, aseptic techniques, and OT protocols.

Proficiency in administering injections and handling minor procedures.

Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.

Basic understanding of fertility treatment protocols (training will be provided if needed).

Good communication skills and patient handling ability.

Attention to detail, especially for stock management and compliance.

Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical workplace and handle multiple responsibilities.

Qualifications

Preferred: B.Sc. Nursing

Acceptable: GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery)

Valid Nursing Council Registration (mandatory)

Prior experience in OT, gynaecology, or fertility clinic setup preferred (not mandatory)

Work Schedule

Full-time, on-site role

Shift timings and weekly offs as per clinic operational hours (to be specified by Zoi Fertility)

Compensation

(To be filled based on experience and internal salary structure)

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
