About Optera

Optera builds software that runs maintenance and operations for transport fleets — bus, truck, tanker and trailer companies. It works off the WhatsApp groups fleets already use, so drivers and mechanics never have to learn a new app. We are live with fleets running 2,000+ vehicles and growing across Gujarat. This is an early-stage company — you will work directly with the founder.

The Role

You will own the top of our sales funnel in Gujarat and close our smaller deals.

- Call and visit fleet owners across Gujarat — Vadodara, Ankleshwar, Surat, Ahmedabad and Gandhidham

- Qualify them: how many vehicles they own, how they run maintenance today, what software they use

- Run product demonstrations on your own demo account

- Close deals with small and mid-size fleets; bring larger fleets to the founder

- Keep every account updated in our CRM with a clear next action and date

You will not be cold-calling a random list. We have a live pipeline of fleet owners who have already seen a demo and are waiting for follow-up.

What We Are Looking For

Essential:

- Fluent Gujarati, Hindi and English — our customers are Gujarati fleet owners, mostly aged 45 to 65

- Comfortable picking up the phone, being told "not interested", and calling back





- Willing to travel across Gujarat, including occasional overnight trips

- Own a two-wheeler with a valid driving licence

- Able to learn a software product well enough to demonstrate it confidently

Preferred, not required:

- Any exposure to transport, logistics, automobiles, GPS or telematics, or a family business

- Internship or work experience in sales, business development or customer-facing work

We do not require a sales degree or prior full time experience.

Compensation

- Fixed salary of ₹20,000 to ₹35,000 per month, based on experience and fit

- Incentive of ₹2,000 to ₹5,000 per client closed

- Travel and field expenses reimbursed

- Performance review at 6 months

Selection Process

1. Short introductory call (15 minutes)

2. Paid one-day field trial — ₹1,000. We give you 20 real fleet-owner phone numbers. Your task: find out how many vehicles each owns, whether they use any software, and book one meeting. We care how you work, not how you interview.
