Preferred Experience: 12–18+ years in international freight forwarding/logistics, with significant leadership experience.

Scope of Responsibility

The person will be responsible for the overall India business, including:

Ocean Freight – FCL/LCL, import/export and NVOCC operations

Air Freight – import/export operations

Operations management

Pricing and procurement

Shipping line, airline, NVOCC and co-loader negotiations

Overseas agent management

Sales and business development

Customer development and retention

Finance and Accounts oversight

Job costing and shipment profitability

AP/AR and credit/collection controls

Documentation and shipment controls

Customs broker/CHA and regulatory coordination

Vendor and transporter management

SOP development and implementation

KPI and management reporting

Recruitment and team development

P&L; responsibility

Budgeting, revenue and GP targets

India business expansion

Coordination with USA and GCC/Middle East operations

The GM does not need to personally perform every accounting, documentation or operational task. However, the candidate must have sufficient knowledge and leadership experience to manage the department heads, review performance, identify problems and take accountability for the overall business.

Strong experience with established freight forwarders, NVOCCs or international logistics companies.

Managed multiple functions rather than specializing only in Sales or Operations.

Robust Ocean and Air Freight knowledge.

Existing relationships with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, overseas agents and logistics vendors.

Experience in freight pricing and carrier negotiations.





Strong commercial and business-development capabilities.

Understanding of freight forwarding finance, job costing, GP and P&L.;

Experience managing Operations, Sales, Pricing, Documentation and Finance/Accounts teams.

Experience developing SOPs, KPIs and internal controls.

Proven ability to build and develop teams.

Strong English communication and international coordination capability.

High integrity and management discipline.

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹175,000.00 per month
