Role Description The Senior Steward is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur, responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, stewarding operations, and back-of-house support. Daily tasks include supervising dishwashing and equipment cleaning, managing inventory of cleaning supplies and kitchen tools, and ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards. The role involves coordinating with the kitchen and food & beverage teams to ensure timely setup of service areas, proper handling of tableware, and efficient turnaround of equipment during busy service periods.



The Senior Steward also helps train and guide junior stewards, supports banquet and restaurant operations as needed, and reports maintenance or safety issues promptly to the relevant supervisors.
Qualifications

- Robust Customer Service and Communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen, service teams, and occasionally guests.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage and Food Service operations, including handling tableware, equipment, and hygiene standards.
- Experience in Training junior team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of equipment.
- Previous experience in stewarding or back-of-house hospitality roles, preferably in hotels or large restaurants.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation guidelines, and occupational health and safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle physical tasks, and manage time efficiently during peak service hours.
- Basic record-keeping skills for inventory tracking and reporting maintenance or breakage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal hospitality training or certifications are an advantage.
