Dee Pet Services is a growing pet-care company providing professional veterinary and pet-care services for dogs and cats. We are looking for a responsible and compassionate Paravet / Veterinary Assistant to support our veterinary team in providing quality care to pets.

Job Responsibilities

- Assist veterinarians during consultations, treatments and procedures.
- Handle and restrain dogs and cats safely during examinations and treatments.
- Assist with vaccination, deworming, medication administration and basic veterinary procedures under veterinary supervision.
- Collect and handle blood, urine and other clinical samples as required.
- Assist with basic diagnostic procedures and sample preparation.
- Monitor patients before, during and after treatments or procedures.
- Assist veterinarians during minor procedures and surgeries when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of veterinary equipment, treatment areas and workspaces.
- Properly clean, disinfect and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments, medications, vaccinations and patient information.
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of veterinary medicines and supplies.
- Coordinate with pet parents regarding basic instructions provided by the veterinarian.
- Assist the veterinary team during home/doorstep visits.
- Ensure all required equipment, medicines and consumables are available before visits.
- Follow proper animal-handling, infection-control and safety protocols.




- Assist with patient care at the clinic/boarding facility when required.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition promptly to the veterinarian.
- Perform other veterinary support duties as assigned by the veterinarian or management.

Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate in Veterinary Pharmacy, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Paraveterinary Science or a relevant field preferred.
- Previous experience as a Paravet, Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Technician or Animal Care Assistant is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and positive practical knowledge may also apply.
- Good knowledge of basic animal handling and veterinary procedures.
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments.
- Compassionate and patient with animals.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel for doorstep/home veterinary visits.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a field-based veterinary environment.
- Responsible, punctual and willing to learn.
