Responsibilities

Learn and assist with basic medical billing and claims-processing workflows.

Review sample patient and billing documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Understand the connection between medical coding, billing, and claims submission.

Assist with training exercises involving insurance claims and payer information.

Identify common billing errors, missing information, and documentation issues.

Maintain organized billing-related records and information.

Participate in case-based healthcare operations and revenue cycle exercises.

Follow appropriate confidentiality and professional documentation practices.
