2) Software Engineer - Camera Engineering
These roles sit within the IVI HMI and Camera domains and offer the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive software solutions in a hybrid work environment.
Role 1: IVI HMI Engineer
As an HMI Engineer, you will contribute to the development and testing of In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems built on Android and Linux platforms. You will work within an Agile team, participate in hands-on embedded development, and support software quality assurance activities.
- Develop and troubleshoot software on embedded targets for IVI systems.
- Contribute to Android application development and Linux-based platform work.
- Perform software testing using debuggers, emulators, and simulators.
- Support software releases and quality assurance activities.
- Apply continuous improvement thinking to processes, products, and systems.
- Stay current with automotive trends and evolving engineering best practices.
Role 2: Camera Engineer
As a Camera Engineer, you will develop, maintain, and debug solutions including Surround View and Camera Frameworks within an Android Automotive environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features aligned with customer and market requirements.
- Develop new features and enhancements based on customer and market requirements.
- Deliver features within scope, schedule, and defined quality standards.
- Report development status, issues, and progress to stakeholders regularly.
- Perform pre-integration testing and verification for assigned features.
- Implement defined test strategies and document test results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system stability and achieve KPI targets.
IVI HMI Engineer Requirements (5–7 Years Experience):
- Knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin.
- Basic knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
- Hands-on Android application development experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of the Linux platform.
- Basic knowledge of development and testing practices.
- Ability to learn and use debuggers, emulators, and simulators for software testing.
- Good communication and facilitation skills.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and willingness to work from the office.
- Ability to apply original thinking and continuous improvement to processes and products.
Camera Engineer Requirements (5–8 Years Experience):
- 5+ years of embedded software development experience with a focus on Android Framework and Native development.
- Hands-on experience with EVS/Camera Framework in an Automotive environment.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Java within Android contexts.
- Experience with Android HIDL and AIDL interface implementation and customisation.
- Strong understanding of Android Boot Sequence and Framework module architecture.
- Strong knowledge of IPC and operating system concepts.
- Experience with multi-core and multi-threaded system development.
- Experience developing middleware solutions in the Android workplace.
- Knowledge of OpenGL, Image Processing, and Stitching algorithms is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
