US Residential Mortgage Underwriting SPE / SME / TL / TMLocation:ChennaiExperience:1 YearsCTC:5 LPA 12 LPAJob DescriptionWe are looking for professionals with experience inUS Residential Mortgage Underwritingto join our mortgage operations team at different levels Senior Process Executive (SPE), Subject Matter Expert (SME), Team Lead (TL), and Team Manager (TM).The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and underwriting US residential mortgage loan applications, analyzing borrower financial information, assessing creditworthiness, validating income and assets, and ensuring loans comply with client, investor, and applicable underwriting guidelines.Key Responsibilities
- Review and underwrite US residential mortgage loan files.
- Analyze borrower income, employment, assets, liabilities, credit history, and supporting documents.
- Review and interpretAUS findings such as DU/LP.
- Identify risks, discrepancies, and missing documentation.
- Apply US mortgage and investor-specific underwriting guidelines.
- Handle complex underwriting scenarios and escalations.
- Maintain requiredquality, productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time (TAT/SLA)targets.
- Support quality audits, error analysis,



and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members where applicable.
- For TL/TM roles, manage team performance, workload allocation, escalations, client requirements, and people development.
- Coordinate with Quality, Training, Operations, and client-facing teams.
- Ensure compliance with process, client, investor, and regulatory requirements.

Level-wise Experience & CTC
- SPE:1 years 5 LPA
- SME:24 years 6.5 LPA
- TL:46 years 9 LPA
- TM:6 years 12 LPA

Required Skills
- US Residential Mortgage Underwriting experience.
- Knowledge ofConventional, FHA, VA, and other US mortgage products is preferred.
- Good understanding of income calculation, credit, assets, liabilities, and property documentation.
- Knowledge ofDU/LP and investor guidelines.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Positive written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
- Leadership and people-management skills are required for TL/TM positions.
