Job Description: A Mechanical Estimation Engineer calculates project costs, materials, and labor required for mechanical systems, equipment, or manufacturing projects. Job Summary The Mechanical Estimation Engineer prepares accurate and competitive cost estimates, material take-offs (MTO), and bills of quantities (BOQ) for mechanical bids and tenders. This role coordinates with procurement, design, and sales teams to secure profitable contracts while meeting technical specifications. Key Responsibilities

- Tender & Drawing Review: Analyze engineering drawings, client requests for quotations (RFQs), specifications, and contract documents.

- Cost Calculation: Compute expenses for raw materials, machining, tools, direct and indirect labor, shipping, and overhead.

- Vendor Coordination: Request and compare price quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate optimal commercial terms.

- Proposal Preparation: Compile comprehensive technical and financial bid documents within strict project deadlines.





- Cross-Functional Support: Work with production, project management, and sales teams to align estimates with operational capabilities.

- Variance Analysis: Compare actual project or manufacturing costs against initial estimates to improve future accuracy.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical estimation, costing, or manufacturing.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, understanding tolerances, and using MS Excel or estimation software.

- Soft Skills: Robust analytical thinking, negotiation capabilities, and effective communication.
