Business Development Manager – Recruitment & Staffing

Location: Gurgaon / Delhi NCR, India

Work Mode: Hybrid

Experience: 4–6 Years

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Acquisition

- Identify and acquire new corporate clients across India and the UAE.
- Build a strong pipeline of prospects through LinkedIn, referrals, networking, industry databases, cold outreach, email campaigns, and existing professional networks.
- Connect with key decision-makers including CHROs, HR Heads, Talent Acquisition Leaders, Business Heads, CEOs, Founders, Procurement teams, and hiring managers.
- Conduct client meetings, understand hiring challenges, and position Women First Jobs recruitment and talent solutions accordingly.
- Convert prospects into active clients and generate recurring recruitment mandates.
- Proactively identify companies with ongoing and upcoming hiring requirements.
- Develop opportunities across permanent recruitment, executive search, diversity hiring, volume hiring, and other talent solutions.

UAE Market Development

- Build and develop relationships with companies operating in the UAE and wider GCC market.
- Prospect remotely from India through calls, LinkedIn, virtual meetings, networking, and referrals.
- Understand the UAE recruitment landscape, hiring trends, commercial expectations, and client requirements.
- Develop a consistent pipeline of UAE-based accounts and convert them into active recruitment clients.
- Coordinate with leadership for strategic or senior-level UAE client meetings when required.

India Market Development

- Acquire mid-sized, large, and enterprise clients across India.




- Develop relationships with HR and Talent Acquisition teams across multiple industries.
- Identify opportunities for ongoing recruitment partnerships rather than only transactional mandates.
- Generate repeat business and expand relationships across functions, locations, and business units.

Sales & Commercial Management

- Prepare proposals, capability presentations, commercial agreements, and recruitment contracts.
- Negotiate recruitment fees, payment terms, replacement clauses, and other commercial conditions.
- Maintain a healthy balance between competitive pricing and profitable business.
- Track the complete sales funnel from lead generation to meeting, proposal, negotiation, client activation, mandate generation, placement, and revenue.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and revenue projections.

Account Development

- Maintain relationships with newly acquired clients after onboarding.
- Work closely with the recruitment delivery team to ensure mandates are clearly understood and delivered effectively.
- Conduct regular client follow-ups and account reviews.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Develop accounts into long-term, high-value relationships.

Reporting & CRM Discipline

- Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, proposals, opportunities, mandates, and follow-ups in the CRM.




- Prepare weekly business development reports covering:
- Current leads generated
- Client meetings conducted
- Proposals submitted
- New accounts acquired
- Active opportunities
- New recruitment mandates
- Expected revenue
- Closures and collections
- Maintain disciplined follow-up with prospects until opportunities are closed or formally dropped.

Required Experience

- 4–6 years of Business Development / Sales experience within the Recruitment, Staffing, Executive Search, RPO, or HR Consulting industry.
- Candidates coming purely from unrelated industries will not be preferred.
- Proven experience acquiring corporate recruitment clients.
- Strong understanding of recruitment commercials and client engagement.
- Experience selling recruitment services to HR Heads, TA Leaders, senior management, or business owners.
- Prior exposure to the UAE/GCC market will be highly preferred.
- Candidates currently managing India clients but having previously worked on UAE/GCC accounts may also be considered.
- Strong experience with cold outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to independently conduct senior-level client meetings.
- Strong commercial and revenue-oriented mindset.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates currently working with:

- Staffing Companies
- Executive Search Firms
- HR Consulting Firms
- RPO Companies
- Talent Solutions Companies

with direct responsibility for client acquisition and revenue generation will be strongly preferred.

Having an existing network of HR and Talent Acquisition leaders in India and/or the UAE will be an advantage.
