Production Operator - OSD Manufacturing (Visakhapatnam)

Description

We are seeking experienced Production Operators for our OSD (Oral Solid Dosage) manufacturing unit in Visakhapatnam. The role covers tablet compression, coating, granulation, and both primary and secondary packing operations. Candidates should have 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in OSD production and be committed to maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor compression, coating, and granulation equipment according to SOPs and BMRs.
- Perform primary and secondary packing operations including machine setup, changeovers, and quality checks.
- Conduct in-process checks and record measurements, yield, and deviations accurately.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate preventive maintenance with engineering.
- Complete batch documentation, reports, and handovers in a timely manner.
- Participate in line clearances, product changeovers, and training activities.

Qualifications

- Minimum HSC (10+2) or Diploma in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Technology or related field preferred.
- 2 to 8 years of hands-on experience in OSD manufacturing (compression, coating, granulation, packing).




- Working knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and BMR documentation.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and quality checklists.
- Willingness to work in shifts and adhere to safety procedures.
