The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the R&D; Function
day-to-day financial operations, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting,
and financial analysis. The role will partner closely with the R&D; leaders to
provide actionable financial insights, improve financial discipline, and support
strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will combine robust accounting fundamentals with commercial
and analytical capabilities and will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced,
growth-oriented environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Own the annual planning cycle for the function end to end, including the
calendar, templates, cost definitions, and the consolidated plan submitted to
the Head of Finance and Strategy.

• Build the scenario and sensitivity models that inform investment, headcount,
and procurement decisions, and frame the trade-offs for the leaders who decide.

• Challenge the business assumptions behind functional plans with R&D; and
Product leaders, and quantify the financial consequences of the alternatives.





• Judge which variances matter, decide how they are investigated, and take the
resulting recommendations to functional leadership.

• Set the reporting standards, cost definitions, and analytical tooling that the
function's recurring reporting and analysis are produced within.

• Resolve non-routine costing and accounting treatment questions where no
established precedent applies, and document the position taken.

• Raise the standard of financial analysis across the function by reviewing the
work of others and mentoring less experienced colleagues.

• Advise on the financial structure of new initiatives and programs, including
how they will be measured once approved.

• Represent the function's financial position to stakeholders outside finance,
including at leadership forums.
