- Follow the production schedule, job priority and maintain production report etc.
- Coordinate with fitters, helpers and supervisors for smooth production.
- Report machine breakdowns or unsafe equipment immediately.
- Perform MIG and ARC welding as per job requirements.
- Weld frames, trusses, brackets, supports, structures and other fabricated components.
- Maintain correct welding sequence to minimize distortion, bending and deformation.
- Select appropriate welding wire/electrode, current, voltage and other parameters as required.
- Maintain proper weld size, penetration, bead appearance and joint strength.
- Carry out welding in required positions such as flat, horizontal and vertical.
- Perform grinding, cleaning and finishing wherever required.
- Maintain 5S at the workstation.
