RCM AR Caller / Collector

Job Purpose:

As a Senior AR Executive, you will be responsible for end-to-end Accounts Receivable management, including payer calling, claim follow-up, denial resolution, appeals, underpayment review, and collection activities. The role requires strong ownership of accounts from follow-up through final resolution and payment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform AR calling with insurance payers and adjusters to drive claims toward payment.

* Follow up on aged, pending, submitted and accepted claims, especially claims outstanding beyond 30 days.

* Resolve denials, rejections, eligibility, authorization and coding-related issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.

* Submit appeals, corrected claims, rebills and supporting documentation as required.

* Identify and resolve underpayments, downcoding and payment discrepancies.

* Track and resolve high-value and aged accounts based on collection priorities.

* Ensure timely follow-up on denials and prevent Timely Filing Limit (TFL) losses.

* Maintain accurate and audit-ready notes for all calls, follow-ups, appeals and claim actions.

* Coordinate with billing, coding and authorization teams to resolve claim issues.

* Handle complex AR cases and support escalation resolution.

* Analyze denial and payer trends and identify revenue leakage and process gaps.

* Maintain assigned work queues and ensure every account has a clear next action.

* Prepare daily, weekly and monthly AR and collection reports.

* Support client calls and provide updates on collections, aging, denials and escalations.

* Mentor junior team members and support process improvement initiatives.

Key Performance Expectations:

* Minimum 95% daily productivity and workload completion.

* Minimum 99% accuracy in documentation and claim handling.

* Denial follow-up within 48 hours.

* Zero avoidable TFL losses.

* Strong call volume and collection performance.

* Timely resolution of underpayments and aged accounts.





* Focus on reducing AR aging and improving collections.

Required Skills:

* Strong US Healthcare RCM and AR knowledge.

* Excellent payer calling, follow-up and negotiation skills.

* Strong denial management and appeals experience.

* Good understanding of insurance payer processes and AR workflows.

* Ability to analyze claims and identify root causes.

* Strong ownership, persistence and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication.

* Ability to manage high-volume AR work independently.

* Good Excel, reporting and documentation skills.

Qualifications:

* Graduate or higher qualification.

* 24 years of experience in US Healthcare RCM / AR.

* Experience in AR calling, denial management, appeals and collections preferred.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Candidate Profile:

* 35 years of experience in US Healthcare RCM, preferably with strong AR experience.

* 2–3 years of hands-on experience in AR calling, payer follow-up and collections.

* Strong experience in denial management, appeals, corrected claims and claim resolution.

* Good knowledge of US insurance payer processes, eligibility, authorization, CPT and ICD-10.

* Experience handling aged, high-value, denied and underpaid claims.

* Strong payer communication, negotiation and escalation skills.

* Experience with commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and preferably Workers Compensation/PIP.

* Experience with payer portals and RCM/medical billing systems.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a focus on revenue recovery.

* Excellent documentation, communication and follow-up skills.

* Ability to independently manage accounts from initial follow-up through final resolution.

* Candidates with Pain Management, Orthopedics, PT or DME AR experience will be preferred.

* Candidates with a solid collections mindset and proven AR performance are highly preferred.
