Steel Editor Tekla | AISC | Metric

Responsibilities:

- Prepare Single Part Drawings, Assembly Drawings and Erection Drawings using Tekla Structures.
- Prepare and update drawings as per AISC /Metric standards and US project specifications.
- Work with metric dimensions, steel sections, plates, bolts, welds and connections.
- Modify beams, columns, bracing, connections, stairs, platforms and miscellaneous steel.
- Incorporate engineer, client and fabrication comments into the Tekla model and drawings.
- Ensure proper dimensions, member marks, bolt details, weld details, holes and connection information in drawings.
- Maintain consistency between the Tekla model, drawings and BOM/MTO.
- Generate and update fabrication and erection drawings as required.
- Coordinate with Tekla Modelers,



Structural Engineers and Project Managers for project requirements.
- Follow US steel detailing and fabrication practices and project-specific standards.
- Complete assigned modeling/editing and drawing preparation work within the required quality and project schedule.

Required Skills:

- Hands-on experience in Tekla Structures.
- Good knowledge of AISC/UK steel detailing
- Experience in preparing Single Part, Assembly and Erection Drawings.
- Good understanding of structural steel connections, bolts, welds and fabrication requirements.
- Positive knowledge of metric units and dimensions.
- Experience with US/UK/Canada steel detailing projects will be an advantage.
