The Retail Planner & Allocator will be responsible for store-wise merchandise planning and allocation to ensure the right product reaches the right store at the right time and in the right quantity. The role will focus on inventory optimization, replenishment, stock balancing, sell-through, and improving overall store inventory productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute store-wise merchandise allocation plans based on store potential, sales trends, inventory levels, and product performance.
- Allocate new merchandise to stores considering store grades, capacity, customer profile, historical sales, and regional requirements.
- Monitor store-wise sales, stock levels, sell-through, WOS (Weeks of Stock), ageing, and inventory productivity.
- Drive regular replenishment and stock balancing across stores to maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Identify stock-outs, excess inventory, slow-moving and quick-moving merchandise and take corrective allocation/replenishment actions.
- Analyse store-level performance and recommend inter-store transfers wherever required.
- Work closely with Buying & Merchandising, Retail, Warehouse, and Planning teams to ensure timely availability of merchandise.
- Track new product launches and initial allocations, ensuring stock is available across relevant stores before launch.
- Support seasonal and promotional planning through appropriate inventory allocation.
- Maintain and update allocation parameters based on store performance and changing business requirements.
- Prepare regular MIS and analytical reports related to allocation, replenishment, stock cover, sell-through, ageing,
and inventory health.
- Analyse historical sales and current trends to improve forecasting and allocation decisions.
- Ensure optimum utilization of available inventory and minimize stock holding and ageing.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team for timely dispatch and execution of allocation plans.
- Monitor allocation effectiveness and suggest process improvements to enhance sales and inventory productivity.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Candidates with a background in Retail Management, Fashion Management, Business/Commerce or related fields will be preferred.
Experience
1–5 years of relevant experience in Retail Planning, Allocation, Merchandise Planning, Replenishment, or Retail Operations, preferably within the fashion
