About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a fast-paced data engineering team on a contract basis. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows that power critical business decisions. You'll work with modern data tools and cloud infrastructure to deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Python, dbt/Dataform, and Alteryx
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, and designers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Build and optimize data transformation logic, data models, and data quality checks
Implement testing strategies, CI/CD practices, and follow agile development methodologies




Work with cloud-based tools (GCP – BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Data Fusion) for data processing and orchestration
Develop and maintain APIs/microservices supporting data workflows
Ensure data security practices including encryption and anonymization
Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging tools/technologies to improve pipeline efficiency and performance
Must-Have Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in Python
Practical experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) or Dataform
Hands-on experience with Alteryx for data preparation and wrangling
Valuable-to-Have Skills:
GCP: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Data Fusion, Cloud SQL
Apache Airflow, PySpark
Terraform, Tekton (CI/CD)
PostgreSQL, API development
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
4+ years of total IT experience; 3+ years of hands-on development experience
3+ years of Alteryx experience preferred
2+ years of experience with dbt Core / Dataform / GCP tools preferred
