Role Description The Machine Learning and Computer Vision Engineer will work full time in office in Haridwar, contributing to the development of perception and intelligence systems for UMA’s autonomous robots.



Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, and scene understanding across varied indoor and outdoor environments. The role involves building and optimizing machine learning and pattern recognition models, integrating them with robotic platforms, and collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure robust real-time performance. The engineer will collect, preprocess, and analyze sensor data, run experiments, evaluate models, and iterate on system designs to improve navigation, safety, and autonomy. Additional tasks include documenting technical work, participating in code reviews, and supporting deployment, testing, and maintenance of solutions in industrial settings.
Qualifications
Robust foundation in Computer Science and Data Science, including algorithms, data structures, statistics, and model evaluation.
