Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Network System Test Engineer with strong expertise in network protocols, test methodologies, and hands-on test execution using industry-standard tools. The role requires designing test plans, building complex network topologies, executing tests, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with development teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop comprehensive test methodologies, write test plans, and drive test strategy.

· Validate and test features across a wide range of L2/L3 networking protocols including: Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, IGMP, PIM SM/SSM, QoS, HA, Platform Validation, Network Management.

· Design and execute test network topologies to validate functionality, scalability, stability, and performance.

· Use industry-standard test tools such as IXIA and/or Spirent (preferred).

· Work closely with developers to help shape automated test plans to complement exploratory testing.

· Participate in functional specification and design reviews,



providing customer-centric feedback.

· Perform deep exploratory testing and proactively identify bugs in both software and hardware.

· Document defects, track resolutions, and validate fixes.

· Collaborate as an integral member of an agile development + test team, delivering high-quality software in short iterations.

Required Skills & Experience

· 4+ years of experience in Network/System Testing.

· Solid hands-on understanding of L2/L3 protocols (Ethernet, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, etc.).

· Experience with network platform validation, QoS, and high availability.

· Exposure to IXIA or Spirent testing tools (preferred).

· Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.

· Experience in Linux

· Ability to design real-world test environments and topologies.

· Experience working in Linux-based environments.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
