nWe are looking for an experienced and technically robust Design Engineer with hands-on expertise in CATIA V5 and automotive plastic component design. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing plastic components and assemblies for automotive applications, along with a strong understanding of styling feasibility, tooling, DFM/DFA, GD&T;, and engineering drawings.

nKey Responsibilities

- n
- Design and development of automotive plastic components and assemblies using CATIA V5.n
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, master sections, and detailed engineering drawings.n
- Perform A-Class surface analysis and evaluate styling feasibility for production.n
- Conduct tooling feasibility studies, including:n
- Draft analysisn




- Core and cavity feasibilityn
- Slider feasibilityn
- Lifter feasibilityn
- Ejection feasibilityn
- Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles for injection-moulded plastic components.n
- Develop designs considering manufacturability, assembly requirements, quality, cost, and functional performance.n
- Apply GD&T; principles and ensure compliance with engineering and customer requirements.n
- Support DFMEA, FEA/Mold Flow analysis, testing, and validation activities.n
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including styling, tooling, manufacturing, quality, testing, and suppliers.n
- Incorporate design changes based on engineering feedback, validation results, and manufacturing requirements.n
- Ensure designs meet project timelines, technical specifications, and applicable automotive standards.n
