Key Responsibilities
Create 2D backgrounds, environments and locations for animated TV shows.
Design interiors, exteriors, landscapes and other scene environments based on the show's visual style.
Work closely with Storyboard Artists, Directors and Animators to develop backgrounds as per scene requirements.
Maintain consistency in perspective, scale, colours, lighting and visual style across episodes.
Create background layouts and assets required for animation production.
Make revisions based on creative feedback and production requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality artwork as per production schedules.

Requirements
2–5 years of experience as a Background Artist/Environment Artist in 2D animation.
Solid drawing, perspective and environment-design skills.
Good understanding of composition, lighting, colour and depth.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, TVPaint, or similar software.
Ability to follow an established art style and maintain consistency.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.
Portfolio/showreel is mandatory.
Experience in 2D animated TV shows, kids' animation or episodic content will be preferred.
