Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Climate Change Officer (Climate Change Adaptation) is assigned to the Strategy and Engagement Division (CCSE) within the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CCSD). You will be outposted to India Resident Mission (INRM) in New Delhi.
You will report to the Country Director, INRM, and to a designated technical international staff in CCSE.
Your Role
As a Climate Change Officer (Climate Change Adaptation), you will lead, coordinate,



and provide technical and administrative support ensuring ADB operations in India to contribute to the country’s and ADB’s climate change agenda in line with ADB’s Strategy 2030 and its mid-term review, and the Climate Change Action Plan 2023-2030. You will engage with ADB’s clients and work with ADB team members on the country’s climate agenda, support programs promoting climate-resilient and low-carbon development as well as regional initiatives originating and supporting climate investments. This will include upstream analysis, country partnership strategy development and implementation, and annual country programming. You will also coordinate, manage, and implement technical assistance activities, and collaborate with sector teams to design and implement investments that maximize climate outcomes. Additionally, you will deliver knowledge services, build capacity, foster regional cooperation, and represent ADB in events. In this role you will work closely with regional climate focal points and with the broader ADB climate team.
