Job Title: Design Engineer – Automotive Plastic Components
Location: Noida, India

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Design Engineer with hands-on expertise in CATIA V5 and automotive plastic component design . The ideal candidate will have experience in designing plastic components and assemblies for automotive applications, along with a solid understanding of styling feasibility, tooling, DFM/DFA, GD&T;, and engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of automotive plastic components and assemblies using CATIA V5.
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, master sections, and detailed engineering drawings .
- Perform A-Class surface analysis and evaluate styling feasibility for production.
- Conduct tooling feasibility studies , including:
- Draft analysis
- Core and cavity feasibility
- Slider feasibility




- Lifter feasibility
- Ejection feasibility
- Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles for injection-moulded plastic components.
- Develop designs considering manufacturability, assembly requirements, quality, cost, and functional performance.
- Apply GD&T; principles and ensure compliance with engineering and customer requirements.
- Support DFMEA, FEA/Mold Flow analysis, testing, and validation activities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including styling, tooling, manufacturing, quality, testing, and suppliers .
- Incorporate design changes based on engineering feedback, validation results, and manufacturing requirements.
- Ensure designs meet project timelines, technical specifications, and applicable automotive standards.

Required Technical Skills
- CATIA V5 – strong proficiency in part design, assembly design, surfacing, and drafting.
