About the Role

Fashion 1972NE Pvt Ltd manufactures premium bamboo baby and kids apparel under the Cocoon Care and The Boo Boo Club brands. Our in-house stitching unit in Surat operates 40 machines with a 55-person team, producing across Amazon, Myntra, FirstCry, Nykaa, CRED, and our D2C website. We are looking for a hands-on Production Manager to own the floor, from planning and output to quality and people, as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Output

◦ Own the daily, weekly, and monthly production plan, translate marketplace and D2C demand forecasts into floor-level output targets.

◦ Allocate machine capacity and operator workload across styles and SKUs based on order priority.

◦ Track WIP (work-in-progress) at each stage, cutting, stitching, finishing, packing,



and flag delays before they hit dispatch deadlines.

◦ Coordinate with the purchasing team on fabric and trim availability to prevent line stoppages.

◦ Drive efficiency improvements, reduce idle time, improve SAM utilisation, and push output per shift.

Quality Control

◦ Implement and enforce inline QC checkpoints at critical stages, post-cutting, mid-line, and pre-packing.

◦ Maintain DHU (Defects per Hundred Units) within acceptable AQL thresholds for baby apparel.

◦ Ensure SPI (Stitches Per Inch), seam strength, and finishing standards meet marketplace and brand requirements.

◦ Investigate and resolve quality rejections, coordinate with the QC team and line supervisors to close root-cause loops.

◦ Ensure all garments meet baby-safety standards: no loose threads, protected hardware, appropriate fabric handling for OEKO-TEX certified materials.
