About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on _SEO Specialist_with proven experience driving organic growth for US-based websites or clients. This role goes beyond traditional SEO — you'll also own our strategy for how our content shows up in AI-driven search: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and other generative/answer engines. If you live and breathe rankings, but are also curious about how AI is reshaping search, this is for you.

Key Responsibilities1. Technical SEO
- Conduct technical audits: crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile-friendliness
- Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonicalization, and redirect strategy
- Implement and troubleshoot structured data / schema markup (Article, FAQ, Product, HowTo, Organization, etc.)
- Work with developers to fix crawl errors, duplicate content, and site health issues
- Monitor and improve site performance using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush

2. On-Page SEO
- Keyword research and mapping tailored to US search intent and terminology
- Optimize meta titles,



descriptions, headers, internal linking, and content structure
- Content optimization for featured snippets, People Also Ask, and SERP features
- Collaborate with content/writing teams to ensure SEO-friendly briefs and drafts

3. Off-Page SEO & Authority Building
- Build and execute link-building strategies (outreach, guest posting, digital PR)
- Monitor backlink profile health; disavow toxic links when needed
- Track domain authority, referring domains, and competitor backlink gaps

4. Local SEO (if applicable)
- Google Business Profile optimization
- Local citations, NAP consistency, review management strategy

5. AI Search Optimization — AEO & GEO
- Answer Engine Optimization (AEO): Structure content to be pulled into direct-answer formats (voice search, featured snippets, Google's AI Overviews)
- Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): Optimize content so it gets cited/referenced by L
