A Commis is a junior chef responsible for assisting senior chefs with food preparation, cooking, and plating, typically focusing on a specific station like pastry or continental. Key duties include maintaining high kitchen hygiene, inventory management, and following recipes to ensure consistent, high-quality meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation & Cooking: Preparing ingredients (chopping, washing) and cooking dishes to standard recipes under supervision.
- Station Management: Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization in the assigned kitchen area.
- Stock Control: Monitoring stock levels, reporting shortages, and proper storage of ingredients.
- Operational Support: Supporting the kitchen brigade during service, including plating and garnishing.
Job Types: Full time, Permanent
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
