The Job Controller — Body & Paint is responsible for planning, allocating, and monitoring accidental repair jobs, denting, painting, and refinishing work to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Allocate denting, painting, and repair jobs to technicians based on expertise
Monitor progress of accidental repair work and ensure on-time completion
Coordinate with Insurance team, Service Advisors, and Parts Department
Verify availability of panels, paint materials, and spare parts
Track insurance approvals and repair timelines
Conduct quality inspection before vehicle delivery
Ensure proper paint matching and finishing standards
Maintain workshop productivity and minimize rework
Prioritize urgent and high-value jobs
Update job status in system and maintain documentation
Ensure safety and compliance within Body & Paint workshop
Required Skills & Competencies
Solid supervisory skills in denting & painting operations
Knowledge of accidental repair processes and insurance procedures
Understanding of paint mixing, refinishing, and quality standards
Planning, scheduling, and coordination abilities
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Basic computer knowledge (Dealer Management System preferred)
Good communication and team management skills
Eligibility Criteria
Diploma / ITI / Degree in Automobile / Mechanical
2-3 years of experience in supervisor
Experience in automobile dealership service center preferred
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
On-time delivery of repaired vehicles
