About the Role
We are looking for a mid-level accountant who can own the accounting function end-to-end — not just execute compliance, but generate the financial insight that helps management make faster, better decisions.
This role goes beyond bookkeeping. The right person will handle statutory compliance accurately as a given, and then add value through cost visibility, project profitability tracking, and management reporting that leadership can actually act on.
Core Responsibilities — Accounting & Compliance
Manage day-to-day accounting including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and bookkeeping
Handle finalization of accounts and preparation of financial statements
Ensure timely and accurate TDS deduction, payment, and return filing
Manage GST computation, input tax credit reconciliation, and return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9)
Maintain organized records of invoices, vouchers, and supporting documentation
Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors; own the audit preparation process
Handle vendor and customer reconciliations,
and resolve mismatches proactively
Beyond Compliance — What Sets This Role Apart
Management Reporting & MIS
Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports for management review
Build and maintain dashboards covering revenue, receivables, payables, and cash position
Present variance analysis — budget versus actual — with commentary on the drivers
Flag exceptions and anomalies before they become problems, not after
Cost Management & Profitability
Track and analyze cost centre-wise expenses; identify leakages and savings opportunities
Maintain project-wise and client-wise profitability analysis
Support pricing decisions with accurate cost data
Monitor and report on overhead allocation and cost trends
Cash Flow & Working Capital
Prepare and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts
Track receivables ageing and drive collection follow-up with the sales team
Manage payables scheduling to optimize working capital
Monitor and report
