Job Description

This role IS: producing the final, polished in-game artwork that ships — screens and graphic elements for our casual and card games. This role IS NOT: a concept / sketch artist role, a marketing or store-creative role (that is our 2D Artist), an animation role (that is our Spine Animator), a UX or wireframing role, or a general graphic design role (print, logos, corporate branding).

What the role does
• Designs in-game screens for our casual and card titles — main menu, HUD, popups, settings, event UI, and IAP / shop screens.
• Designs the graphic elements inside them — buttons, panels, icons, badges, currency and reward art, card faces, table elements.
• Applies premium visual treatment — lighting, glow, gradients, depth, shadows, bevels, highlights, particles.
• Delivers production-ready assets to the Unity team — correct exports, slicing, and multiple resolutions.
• Iterates on feedback and playtest results, and researches competitor games.
Must-haves
• 1–3 years designing graphics for games, with hands-on casual and / or card game work.




• Experience designing complete game screens, not just isolated assets.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop AND Adobe Illustrator.
• Ability to create rich, glossy, high-impact visuals — not flat or basic design.
• Hands-on with lighting, glow, gradients, depth, shadows, bevels, highlights, particles, polished composition.
• Strong understanding of premium mobile game visual styles.
• Knowledge of trending AI tools and the mobile gaming industry.
• Portfolio — published, unpublished or personal work all count.
AI expectations
Every designer at Artoon is expected to use AI tools in their workflow — generative AI for concept exploration, Photoshop / Firefly generative features for production speed, AI upscalers for high-resolution output, and LLMs for brief expansion and reference research. AI-assisted craft is expected; AI-generated final artwork is not acceptable.
