Role Description This is full-time, in office roles based in Hosur for a Costing and Estimation Engineer in the fabrication field, focusing on metals such as MS, SS, and pressure vessels ONLY.
The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates and BOQs for pressure vessels, storage tanks, structural fabrications, and related steel works based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements. The engineer will analyze material, labor, and process costs; coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams; and update costing databases and estimation templates. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing technical documents, supporting proposal and tender preparation, participating in price discussions and negotiations with clients and vendors, and providing cost insights to improve project profitability. The role also requires adherence to relevant codes and standards, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to continuous improvement in estimation practices.
Qualifications
Strong skills in BOQ preparation and project estimation for fabrication projects, including pressure vessels and steel structures.
