About the Role
WordBerries is scaling rapid, and we need a hands-on sales leader from the advertising, marketing, or digital agency world to build our full-funnel revenue engine. This is a player-coach role—one day you're fine-tuning a pitch deck, the next you're presenting international market strategy to the founder. You'll own our BD playbooks, mentor a team of two, and personally close strategic B2B accounts across India and new global markets.

A note on ramp-up: Full team-leadership responsibilities (coaching direct reports, acting as backup on client calls) begin after a 6-month probation period, once you're fully ramped on our accounts and processes. Everything else in this role starts from day one.

What You'll Own




- Build the BD Playbook—Design end-to-end sales frameworks, outreach playbooks, and ICPs for corporates, startups, government bodies, and global targets.
- Expand into New Markets—Lead groundwork for international entry (UK, Middle East, SEA) and government/public sector tenders, partnering with the founder on localized pricing and positioning.
- Close Strategic Accounts—Personally drive 8–12 high-value deals from discovery call to signed contract, building relationships that open doors for renewals and upsells.
- Lead & Support the Team (post-probation) — Coach two direct reports, maintain quality across outgoing pitches and proposals, and step in as backup on key client calls.
- Drive Pipeline & Handovers—Keep CRM updated, track conversion metrics, report monthly progress to the founder, and lead smooth handoffs to delivery.
