Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd invites applications for an experienced and dynamic Manager - Materials Management to join our Construction Equipment business unit. This pivotal role focuses on overseeing the comprehensive materials management function for Electrical and Proprietary parts, driving cost efficiency, supplier engagement, and strategic development.
The successful candidate will be actively involved in multidisciplinary collaboration, working closely with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and finance teams, ensuring seamless supply chain operations that support product innovation and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities

Cost Management & Development: Develop and implement effective strategies for cost control and reduction while maintaining quality standards for electrical and proprietary components.
Material Management: Lead the end-to-end management of materials including planning, procurement, inventory control, and timely delivery to meet production schedules.




Supplier Management: Build and nurture relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms, and ensure supplier performance aligns with company standards and expectations.
Budgeting & Vendor Development: Manage budgets for electrical and proprietary parts, identify and onboard current vendors, and enhance vendor capabilities through targeted development programs.
Market Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date awareness of innovations in the aggregate market and new technologies relevant to electrical and proprietary parts to support continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
Strategic Initiatives: Lead and execute cross-functional projects with visible impact, aligning materials management with broader organisational goals and growth strategies.
Leadership & Collaboration: Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
