Senior Micro Focus COBOL Developer
6+ years of experience in COBOL application development.
Strong hands-on expertise in Micro Focus COBOL 6.4 is required.
Experience with Micro Focus Visual COBOL, Enterprise Developer, and Enterprise Server.
Design, develop, test, debug, enhance, and maintain complex COBOL applications.
Analyze and optimize existing legacy COBOL applications and resolve defects.
Experience in legacy application modernization and re-platforming initiatives.
Strong understanding of SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support.
Strong production support experience with troubleshooting and incident resolution.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle.
Experience with version control tools such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and code-review skills.
Ability to create technical documentation and collaborate with business/technical teams.
Positive communication skills and ability to mentor junior developers
