Summary Section
The Quality Inspector – Equipment role is a senior quality assurance position responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications throughout the manufacturing and inspection lifecycle of static process equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, rotating equipment, and associated systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance on quality, welding, and NDE requirements for process equipment.
Review vendor technical proposals to ensure compliance with project and quality requirements.
Lead supplier qualification assessments, audits, and evaluations.
Conduct pre-inspection meetings with suppliers and stakeholders.
Review and approve quality documents, including ITPs, welding procedures, weld records, PWHT procedures, NDE procedures, and testing documentation.
Perform and oversee shop inspections in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Coordinate Third-Party Inspection (TPI) activities and review inspection reports prior to release.
Develop Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) checklists based on project specifications and lessons learned.
Interface effectively with suppliers, clients, engineering, procurement, and project teams on quality-related matters.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the development of quality processes, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
