Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Die Fitter / Tooling Engineer who can independently design, develop, and maintain compound and progressive dies, and also contribute to automation through pneumatic fixtures.

Key Responsibilities1. Die Design & Development
- Design and develop compound and progressive dies for sheet metal components
- Plan strip layout, stages, and operations for optimum productivity
- Select appropriate materials, clearances, and tolerances

2. Tool Making & Assembly
- Manufacture, fit, and assemble dies with high precision
- Perform fitting, grinding, alignment, and finishing operations
- Ensure smooth functioning during trial and production runs

3. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Identify and resolve issues such as:
- Tool wear
- Burrs and dimensional variation




- Misalignment and breakage
- Carry out preventive maintenance of dies

4. Pneumatic Fixture Design & Automation
- Design and develop pneumatic fixtures/jigs for process automation
- Work on clamping systems, indexing, and repeatability
- Improve cycle time and reduce manual intervention

5. Production Support
- Work closely with production team to ensure consistent output
- Optimize tooling for higher productivity and lower rejection
- Support continuous improvement in processes

6. Ownership & Accountability
- Take full responsibility for tool performance and output quality
- Ensure long-term solutions and improvements
- Maintain proper documentation and drawings
