Role Overview

We are looking for a qualified Historian with specialization in Women’s Studies / Gender Studies to lead research, analysis, and documentation on historical and socio-cultural issues related to women.

The role involves studying historical developments, analyzing gender perspectives, and contributing to research, policy frameworks, publications, or cultural projects.

Key Responsibilities1. Historical Research & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth research using primary and secondary sources such as archives, manuscripts, and oral histories
- Analyze and interpret historical events, trends, and societal developments
- Develop research papers, reports, and documentation

Historians typically gather and interpret data from archives, documents, and artifacts to build narratives about the past

2. Women & Gender Studies Focus
- Research women’s roles, contributions, and representation across historical periods
- Analyze gender dynamics, inequality, and socio-cultural structures
- Provide insights on feminist theory, intersectionality, and social justice issues

Documentation & Publication
- Write articles, reports, whitepapers, and academic publications
- Develop content for exhibitions, policy documents, or media projects
- Contribute to books, journals, and digital archives

4. Policy & Advisory Role
- Provide expert advice on gender-sensitive policies and programs
- Support organizations in integrating gender perspectives into projects
- Contribute to social impact initiatives related to women empowerment

5. Education & Public Engagement
- Conduct workshops, lectures, or training sessions
- Present research findings at conferences or seminars
- Develop educational materials and awareness programs

6. Archival & Cultural Preservation
- Assist in preservation of historical documents, artifacts, and records
- Work with museums, NGOs, or institutions on heritage and women-centric projects

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
