Clinical Care & Monitoring: Assessing and monitoring vital signs (heart rate, respiration, saturation) hourly, managing IV lines, and administering specialized feedings or medications.
- Equipment Operation: Operating and troubleshooting advanced medical equipment, including incubators, ventilators, and phototherapy lights.
- Emergency Intervention: Participating in neonatal resuscitation and responding to acute, critical changes in a newborn's condition.
- Family Support & Education: Educating parents on infant care, including feeding and, bonding techniques, and providing support during stressful, long-term admissions.
- Collaboration: Working with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, respiratory therapists, and dieticians, to implement care plans.
