About the Role

We builds the technology behind U.S. healthcare revenue cycle operations billing, AR, transcription, and the data systems that connect them. This is a hands-on senior engineering role with real ownership: you will design systems, write production code, and make architectural decisions that directly affect how a real business runs.

You will work closely with U.S. leadership and India operations teams, translating messy real-world workflows into reliable software.

What You'll Do

- Design and build scalable data pipelines and services handling healthcare claims, payments, and clinical documents at volume
- Develop AI agent systems tool-calling agents, MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and clients, retrieval pipelines — and take them from prototype to production
- Build and maintain workflow orchestration for multi-step, long-running business processes (claim submission, payment posting, denial follow-up)
- Write and optimize complex PostgreSQL — query tuning, indexing strategy, schema design, replication and CDC
- Deploy and operate services on GCP (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage)
- Build custom internal software where off-the-shelf tools don't fit — integrations with EHR/practice management systems, payer portals, and clearinghouses
- Own problems end to end: understand the business need, propose the approach, ship it, and support it





Required Qualifications

- 5+ years building production software, with strong Python
- Deep PostgreSQL experience — you can read an EXPLAIN plan and know why a query is slow
- Hands-on GCP (or equivalent AWS/Azure with willingness to work in GCP)
- Experience designing data systems that scale — batch and streaming, idempotency, retries, failure handling
- Practical experience building with LLMs: agent frameworks, function/tool calling, prompt design, evaluation
- Workflow orchestration experience (Airflow, Temporal, Prefect, Dagster, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving instincts — comfortable with ambiguity and undocumented systems
- Transparent written and spoken English; you'll work directly with U.S. stakeholders

Nice to Have

- MCP server/client development
- U.S. healthcare domain exposure — EDI 837/835, HIPAA, claims lifecycle, EHR integrations
- Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or other IaC
- FastAPI or similar async Python frameworks
- Vector databases and RAG systems
