Key Responsibilities

- Work as a Technology Architect in the Integration/API space and provide technical leadership for client engagements.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain APIs using Axway API Gateway and Axway API Management.
- Provide architecture and technical guidance for API Management platform implementations.
- Work with Axway API Builder, API Marketplace, Authorization & Consent Management, Integration Builder, and Business Insights where applicable.
- Provide API configuration and platform support on Axway Amplify.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, backend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and design appropriate API solutions.
- Design and build scalable, secure, reusable, and extensible APIs for internal integrations and customer-facing applications.
- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, API Keys, Basic Authentication, and other authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Develop and implement custom API policies and security controls.
- Work with REST and SOAP web services using JSON and XML.
- Define overall API architecture, integration patterns, deployment approaches, and API Management best practices.
- Prepare API specifications, technical design documents, architecture guidelines, and reusable templates.
- Establish and enforce API architecture standards and ensure compliance across projects.




- Identify reusable artifacts, accelerators, tools, and frameworks to improve API development and delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development and integration teams.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of API Management best practices.
- Participate in driving new opportunities, solution proposals, and SOW development activities.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Axway API Management / Axway API Gateway.
- Experience in API Architecture and API Management concepts.
- Experience designing, developing, configuring, and deploying APIs.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and SOAP Web Services.
- Good understanding of JSON and XML.
- Strong knowledge of API security mechanisms including:
- OAuth 2.0
- API Key
- Basic Authentication
- Authentication and Authorization
- Custom API security policies

- Experience in API integration, deployment, governance, and platform support.
- Solid understanding of scalable and secure API design principles.
- Experience preparing technical specifications, architecture documents, and design guidelines.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
