Job Summary

Senior SAP R2R and Treasury Architect with UK statutory accounting and banking integration expertise. Primary Focus: Senior functional authority for UK accounting, statutory reporting and treasury processes on S/4HANA. Experience: 10-15+ years in SAP R2R and Treasury across global implementations.

Timezone: 4:30 PM - 1:30 AM IST (UK Business Hours).

Work Mode: Remote.

Duration: 3-6 months, with possibility of extension based on project requirements.

What you will own

- This is a senior architect role sitting at the intersection of UK statutory compliance and global SAP template governance. The client is running a large-scale S/4HANA programme and needs someone who can own the R2R and Treasury workstream end to end - from design through to hypercare.
- Serve as the senior functional authority for UK accounting, statutory reporting and treasury processes throughout the programme.
- Validate UK statutory accounting, tax and compliance requirements and ensure they are correctly reflected in the SAP design.
- Design and govern payment and banking integration flows: PTX, BACS, Direct Debit, CAMT.053 and Citibank connectivity.
- Ensure global template alignment while defining and documenting UK-specific exceptions and localisation requirements.
- Collaborate with offshore configuration and testing teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
- Support SIT and UAT cycles, lead defect triage and perform functional validation across R2R and Treasury scope.
- Ensure cutover readiness including opening balances, data migration validation and hypercare stabilisation.




- Work closely with reporting teams to ensure statutory accuracy of financial outputs.

Technical Capability Required

- SAP R2R & S/4HANA Financials
Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Financials covering General Ledger, period-end close, statutory reporting and intercompany processes.
- Robust knowledge of UK statutory accounting requirements, tax treatment and compliance obligations within an SAP landscape.
- Experience designing R2R processes for global template programmes with country-specific localisation needs.
- Solid documentation and solution design skills: functional specifications, process design documents and configuration guides.

Treasury & Banking Integration

- Hands-on experience with SAP Treasury and payment process design: PTX, BACS, Direct Debit and electronic payment formats.
- CAMT.053 bank statement integration design and configuration experience.
- Citibank or equivalent enterprise banking integration experience within SAP.
- Understanding of cash management, bank account management and payment run processes in S/4HANA.

Global Template & Delivery

- Experience in global template rollout programmes: defining the core template and managing country-specific deviations.
- Proven ability to collaborate with offshore teams across configuration, testing and go-live workstreams.
